Context

Reduce:

  • The time spent in the airlock.
  • Production stops.
  • Staff monopolization.
  • Training time.

All personnel entering the controlled atmosphere zone are affected by this training. However, the dressing area is narrow (only two people), and physical training monopolizes the airlock entrance for 1.5 hours, to train only one participant at a time. Technicians cannot enter during this time. There are many constraints: blocking high value-added activities, a real risk of contamination, potential production stoppage, etc.

Description

LFB BIOMEDICAMENTS has created a virtual training experience dedicated to dressing in this high-risk zone. It allows the trainee to learn and become familiar with the environment before hands-on practicewithout incurring hygiene and production risks. Its enables the technician to become operational earlier, and to spend less time in the airlock. Additionally, the LFB has invested in a suitcase with six headsets. They train more technicians simultaneously.

Results

  • Knowledge of the environment and the steps before putting it into practice.
  • Train 6 times more technicians.
  • 62% time saved.
  • Better control of the contamination risk.
  • Dressing room cleared.
  • “The virtual reality training for the dressing in CAZ allowed to optimize the entry in the high-risk zone.
