Global EdTech Startups Awards: Uptale in the final

Uptale will represent France in the final of the Global EdTech Startups Awards.

Indeed, this Thursday, December 6, 2018, we won the France final alongside 2 promising startups: Klassroom (2nd) and Wakatoon (3rd). This final allowed us to win a presence on the French Pavilion at BETT in London (January 23 to 26, 2019) and at EduSpotFrance at the Palais des Congrès in Lyon (April 2, 3 and 4, 2019).

The Global EdTech Startups Awards is the world’s largest competition for EdTech startups. Initiated by MindCET (Israel), GESA was co-founded by Open Education Challenge (EU) and EdTech UK in 2014. Many thanks to the organizers of the France competition: ED21, Afinef, 110bis, Edtech France, Schoolab, MinCET and CENE.

More than 2,000 startups applied to the competitions to present their innovations and try to win the title of most promising EdTech startup of the year!

The criteria on which the jury evaluates startups are to address a clear, market-relevant problem; provide an innovative pedagogical approach; have an outstanding user experience; demonstrate considerable growth potential in their user base; and operate in the context of a sustainable way of doing business.

We were honored to take part in this final alongside our friends Wakatoon and Klassroom, promising semi-finalists who deserve to be in the spotlight!

Wakatoon is the first coloring book that turns into a cartoon. After coloring the drawings in the Wakatoon book, simply take a photo of them and, thanks to the mobile app, the drawing comes to life and the story comes to life.

Klassroom is a mobile and web application that reinvents communication between parents and teachers, making it simple, instantaneous and secure.

The final will take place on January 22, 2019 in London, we are very proud to represent French EdTech. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers, who have trusted us for over a year to support them in this transformation of learning?
