Context

The TGV M, SNCF’s next-generation high-speed train designed by Alstom, will hit the tracks in 2026.

To build anticipation and showcase this innovative train, SNCF was looking for a creative, accessible, and engaging way to offer a sneak preview to the public.

Objective

Deliver an interactive, immersive experience allowing users to explore the interior and features of the TGV M.

The aim is to showcase the train’s as yet inaccessible interior, while keeping in-house production, time and costs under control, and rolling out to the general public.

Solution

Using Uptale’s platform, SNCF teams independently designed a 360° virtual tour of the TGV M.

Leveraging existing 3D models of the train, they created a fully interactive experience accessible on desktop, mobile, or VR headsets—without the need for technical skills or external production.

Results

  • A large-scale, immersive experience accessible to the general public
  • Rapid deployment with full in-house content production

  • A powerful, innovative showcase for the TGV M that combines product promotion, communication, and customer engagement

With over 2,000 VR headsets deployed and multiple virtual reality use cases, SNCF is making VR a strategic priority—and Uptale is helping lead the way.
