Context

For the past three years, Maison Dior has embarked on an immersive journey alongside Uptale, aiming to showcase its heritage and savoir-faire to all its employees worldwide.

The flagship project of this collaboration: the virtual tour of Château de la Colle Noire, Christian Dior’s final residence, nestled in the heart of Provence.

Every employee is invited to a 360° exploration of this place steeped in history, symbolism, and emotion. The journey, punctuated with anecdotes, encounters, and interactive elements, allows everyone to truly embrace the spirit of the House—from its enchanting gardens to its secret salons.

Objectives

Until now, only a few hundred employees in France could walk the estate’s grounds each year.

Virtual reality quickly became the obvious solution to:

  • Open the doors of Dior’s heritage to everyone, from their very first days, without any geographical or logistical constraints.

  • Strengthen the sense of belonging: immersion enables each employee to feel the unique emotion of these iconic locations and to make Dior’s legacy their own, going beyond traditional formats.

  • Offer a multilingual and inclusive experience, made possible by artificial intelligence, so that every employee can enjoy the experience in their native language.

Results

  • Accelerated transmission of company culture: Every new hire can immerse themselves in the Dior universe from day one, feel the emotion of its heritage, and understand their key role within the House’s ecosystem.

  • Rapid upskilling: The Dior team was able to independently create and deploy 7 modules for other strategic sites (international headquarters, industrial sites, etc.).

  • A global, borderless experience: The artificial intelligence integrated into Uptale enabled instant translation of modules into more than 10 languages, making the experience accessible to all.

We were impressed by the engagement from our employees.

“This experience was truly a success in our learning offer. We were impressed by the engagement our employees showed with this new content and format. It sparked a lot of new ideas for us. […]

The creation process with the authoring tool was very intuitive—more so than we had imagined, and more than other tools on the market that aren’t compatible with virtual reality. In the end, it was simple and quick to build our skills, which led to several subsequent projects.”
