At its Asia-Pacific industrial sites, TotalEnergies must ensure that every tanker truck is 100% compliant before loading its products. The ‘Safe to Load’ procedure, which is essential to prevent any incident, requires consistent, engaging, and effective training for teams spread across several countries.
To meet this challenge, TotalEnergies Marketing Asia-Pacific Middle East partnered with Uptale to create an immersive virtual reality module, placing operators in the same checks and decisions as they would face in real-life situations.
Objectives
- Raise awareness and effectively train teams on safety best practices, particularly when checking equipment and applying the “Safe to Load” protocols.
- Reduce accidents linked to human error by recreating risky situations in a virtual environment, where the user must identify and correct unsafe behaviors.
- Standardize and harmonize safety training at scale, providing fast access at any time, from anywhere, on any device (VR headset, PC, mobile, tablet).
Results
