Patient care training and handling of medical equipment

Satellite Healthcare was looking for a way to immerse learners in their future work environment, which is often intimidating at first. PowerPoint or e-learning was not always enough to fully prepare them for the real world.

With immersive learning, they can now experiment and learn in a safe environment, without putting patients at risk.

Learners are immersed in a dialysis centre and guided through the machines and equipment. They have to interact with these machines to ensure their proper functioning and settings and understand the different daily processes and checkpoints.

The pedagogical teams of Satellite Healthcare, based in the United States, are more than delighted with this first module co-created with Uptale. They find the platform intuitive and easy to use, as well as an affordable solution in terms of cost.

Uptale’s support has enabled them to gain autonomy and to carry out high-quality VR training. The internal enthusiasm is such that they plan to conduct other training themselves to push this innovative format to the teams.
